The Spiral Staircase was one of the first projects Zack Scott worked on when his focus was on the mining operation. The Spiral Staircase is situated underground, and is a section of the Scott Mining Corporate Headquarters.
The Staircase has two main exits throughout its spiral down. It exits to The Scottland Welcome Center and Jenny's Caves.
In Episode 5 Zack showed little progress of the staircase, which only went down 2 floors at that time and was made of only cobblestone.
Zack spent Episode 9 building the staircase, and getting it to the bedrock. This took a considerable amount of time, as there was lava in the way of the staircase.
During Zack's "The Walls" addiction, he went back to Scottland and tried to finish the staircase. Despite using creative mode he promised that he wouldn't use World Edit or any commands to help with the excavation, opting to do it manually.
In Episode 626, Zack finally finished the staircase and made a platform at the bottom of the Spiral Staircase, saying that it had bothered him for sometime and he simply wanted it done.
Zack finally fulfilled his dream of committing suicide by jumping to the bottom floor of the staircase.
